Want to be on this page? Send all your news to news@cyclingnw.com The Weekly Report, September 3, 2008 Evergreens Tour Looking for Volunteers The Evergreen Tour Foundation, backed by WSBA is in need of some strong volunteer committee members to ensure the event runs smoothly in 2010. Evergreen Tour is the Washington State UCI 2.1 Pro Stage race (Same level as Tour de Georgia and Tour of Ca began with) that you've heard rumors of over the last year. While we haven't yet made the formal announcements or issued press releases, this event will happen but we need help! If you have the proper vision and enthusiasm send an email to evergreenstour@gmail.com. Most of our meetings are held via phone conference and/or emails. If you have a coporate reference to introduce us to potential marketing partners (sponsors) please pass them on! (NOTE: Sponsors must be proactive in environmental issues.) Thanks for all your help! Dot Abbott Save Time in Registration Lines at Seattle Cyclocross Races As you all know, with several hundred racers, the registration line can be very long the first few races. Please complete this form BEFORE your first cyclocross race of the season. The information on this form will be entered into the timing database in order to speed up the registration process. You can also use this form to complete, print out, and bring to the race EACH WEEK. USA Cycling requires a "wet" signature (no, not a signature that has been rained on) so a new form will be needed each and every soggy Sunday from now to the end of the season. I have attempted to make it as easy as possible for you to fill out to hopefully save you time and allow us to read your waiver because not only doctors have crappy handwriting. If you really want to save time in registration line - spread the word about this form. Tell everyone you know that races to complete the form; it will save everyone time and ensure that the first race will start on time (including this weekends Labor Day race!). Please note: the information on this form will not be shared or sold to 3rd parties. Use the form here! 2008 Seattle-Lance Armstrong Junior Olympics Race Series Wraps Up The sixth edition of the Seattle-Lance Armstrong Junior Olmypics Race Series continued to bring new junior racers to the sport and provide competitive races. 57 junior races, aged 10 to 18, lined up to start during the five race series.
